The mission of the Rankin County Historical Society is to preserve the history of Rankin County, Mississippi and serve as a resource for the surrounding communities.

The museum location:

The museum is located within the Brandon City Park on US Hwy 80 in Brandon, Mississippi. The museum consist of three tourable buildings---the Atkins-McRae Store, the Neely-Wilson House, and the Goshen Springs Post Office.

The Rankin County Historical Society would welcome you to be involved in helping preserve the history of Rankin County. We meet at 6:00 P.M. the second Thursday of each month at the Brandon Library located in Brandon City Park.
